Terms and Conditions for GKA ProAM

1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering for and participating in the GKA ProAM, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not register for the Event.

2. Eligibility

2.1. Age Requirements

Participants must be at least 14 years old in the 2024 calendar year to register as a rider in the Event.

2.2. Experience and Fitness Level

Riders must be in good physical condition and have the necessary experience and skills to safely participate in the Event. GKA reserves the right to disqualify any rider who is deemed unfit or inexperienced for the Event.

3. Registration Process

3.1. Registration Fee

Registration fee of €50 must be paid at the time of registration. This fee includes Entry into the races, competition lycra, access to the Test Village, event water bottle, GKA ProAm event t shirt and general organisational fees.

3.2. Registration Deadline

There is no registration deadline. Participants can register daily but must inform the GKA when they plan to participate.

4. Rider Responsibilities

4.1. Equipment

Riders are responsible for providing and maintaining their own equipment.

4.2. Compliance with Event Rules

Riders must adhere to all Event rules, including any safety regulations and instructions provided by Event staff. Failure to comply may result in disqualification.

4.3. Insurance

Riders are required to have their own personal accident and liability insurance. GKA is not responsible for any injuries or damages incurred during the Event. you can purchase a French permit for the event on site during registration on day 1.

4.4. Lycra’s

Riders are required to wear the ProAm lycra when on the water at all times.

5. Event Participation

5.1. Event Schedule

The Event will take place on 29th August 2024 starting at 10:00. Riders must arrive at the designated check-in area announced in the lead up to the event. The Event schedule is subject to change, and any updates will be communicated via email and WhatsApp.

5.2. Event Cancellation or Postponement

GKA reserves the right to cancel or postpone the Event due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to weather conditions, safety concerns, or insufficient participation. In the event of cancellation, the registration fee may be partially refunded or applied to a future event, at the discretion of GKA.

6. Liability and Waiver

6.1. Assumption of Risk

By participating in the Event, you acknowledge and assume all risks associated with the Event, including but not limited to accidents, injuries, or death. You agree that your participation is voluntary and entirely at your own risk.

6.2. Waiver of Liability

You hereby release, discharge, and hold harmless [Event Organizer], its affiliates, sponsors, employees, and volunteers from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising out of your participation in the Event.

6.3. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GKA and its affiliates against all claims, damages, costs, and liabilities, including legal fees, arising from your participation in the Event.

7. Medical Treatment

7.1. Medical Authorization

In the event of an emergency, you authorize GKA and its representatives to secure medical treatment on your behalf. You agree to be responsible for any costs associated with such treatment.

7.2. Medical Fitness

You certify that you are medically fit to participate in the Event and have no condition that would make your participation hazardous.

8. Image and Media Rights

By participating in the Event, you grant the GKA the right to use your name, image, likeness, and any photographs or video footage taken during the Event for promotional and marketing purposes without compensation.

9. Data Protection

9.1. Personal Information

Your personal information collected during registration will be used solely for the purposes of organizing and managing the Event.
